For a while now, I have coveted admired the cute little mason jar soap dispensers you see all over the web these days. I thought about trying to make one and finally decided to just get over it and buy one!
I actually did not buy the entire thing, just the lid and pump that was ready to go.
I ordered mine from Heather at Post Road Vintage for a couple of reasons.
- Hers were the first ones I had stumbled across and remember thinking, “What a cute and clever idea!”
- I could order just the lid part and could get it with the old-fashioned zinc look at a reasonable price.
- I follow her blog, she sells on Etsy and she just seems to be a downright pleasant gal.
So once I received my lid, I had to figure out what to put it on. I happened upon a criss-cross patterned, jelly-type mason jar at a yard sale last weekend and knew it would be perfect. Especially since it only cost me a dime!
This adorable dispenser now resides in my laundry room.

I love those too and often wondered if I could make it--maybe just buy one and use my own jar as you've indicated--sweet design on your's!
ReplyDeleteI love those mason jars.Wish there was a foam dispenser. That seems to help stretch out the soap. But they are super cute.
ReplyDeleteThat is SO adorable!! I haven't seen that before, love it!
ReplyDeleteI have one in my kitchen. I just took a pump from a old hand lotion bottle. Then my husband put a hole in a canning lid and super glued the pump on. I just love it. I am going to put one also in my bathroom. Love the canning jar. I haven't seen one like that before.
ReplyDeleteLove these. I have to try to make one!
