New Smitten Photos-Part 1

Are you tired of shop photos yet? No? Good, me neither!

I snapped these last week after doing a little rearranging in our room. As I was editing them, I noticed that several items I had pictures of, have since sold. Looks like a refill and some more photos are in order.

This first batch is from mine and Anne’s room. I also took several around the main store and will post those tomorrow~altogether it’s a lot of photos!

The cute little cruet has gone to a new home.

100_8311

We have a few bars of yummy smelling soap that Anne brought back from one of her day trips.

100_8312

A stack of metal industrial looking boxes. The small green one on the left has sold.

The blingy belt buckle has been snatched up.

Vintage stamps and jello molds.

The end cabinet restyled. I’m loving the black and white look on it.

100_8326

These adorable number jars are all gone. But the black drink carrier remains.

100_8327

These next two are some fun hanging cages. The second one is a great, blue, chippy one. These were shot from the ground looking up. I’m height challenged and did not feel like dragging out a step stool.

Also, I’m excited to share that I will be working down at Smitten two days a week! If you’re in town, send me a message~I’d love to meet you!

Junk Salvation Show

This is somewhat of a follow-up to my Country Living Fair post, as this was the second junkin’ show we attended that day.

Junk Salvation was put on by the Funky Junk Sisters at the neatest location-a ghost town! J. Lorraine Ghost Town is located in Manor, Texas, just outside of Austin. After our morning shopping was finished at the Country Living Fair we headed out to our next stop.

I have to admit that we both enjoyed this show much more than the Country Living Fair. This was a great choice for a junk hunting show!  The ghost town made for a fun and festive atmosphere. Live music, authentic looking old-time buildings and lots of great vendors made the day.

We also had a chance to meet Janie Wooten Conley from Petticoats on the Prairie.

This was a great shot to “end” our day with.

Country Living Fair

Back in April, Anne and I headed off on a day trip that involved vintage trailers, lots of junk and treasures and a ghost town.

We attended the first Country Living Fair that was held in Austin. And what a fun day we had!

I’ll share more about the ghost town in another post.

100_7622

I’ll just start off by saying that the walk from the parking lot to the convention arena was a lot shorter on the way in, than on the way out. It’s amazing how that happens after a morning of trekking through booths in the warm weather and hauling around goodies.

Anne also carried her 300 pound camera that she uses to shoot her amazing photos. I can vouch for that 300 pounds, as I toted it back to the car while she waited for me to drive down and pick up her and her find of the day~see that wonderful chair below the picture of her.
