Fall Time at Smitten

At the end of July our garden room at Smitten received a well earned makeover. We removed all the stuff, my husband pulled up the tarp we were using for flooring and then he installed new flooring for us!

It’s not real wood, but it looks wonderful and flows better with the other rooms in the shop, which still have the original hardwood floors.

My very talented husband also made a couple of bookcases for me. These are made from reclaimed wood from different buildings in Fredericksburg.

I reconfigured the room and stocked it with new treasures I had been accumulating. And since I’ve taken way too long to post the makeover, some of these items have already found new homes.

The old magazine rack is still hanging around. The back folds up so it can also lay flat.

My first real furniture painting project. I used homemade chalk paint to cover this little writing desk in a soft gray color.

I love this set of demitasse cups. Too cute!

Mini box of cupcake recipes~bright colors and yummy ideas. I bought one for my daughter and she’s already planned out her cupcake baking. These also come in other varieties~chocolate, champagne, tea….

These little dip containers are so much fun.

New Smitten Photos-Part 1

Are you tired of shop photos yet? No? Good, me neither!

I snapped these last week after doing a little rearranging in our room. As I was editing them, I noticed that several items I had pictures of, have since sold. Looks like a refill and some more photos are in order.

This first batch is from mine and Anne’s room. I also took several around the main store and will post those tomorrow~altogether it’s a lot of photos!

The cute little cruet has gone to a new home.

We have a few bars of yummy smelling soap that Anne brought back from one of her day trips.

The day after I refluffed the space, this white desk sold~the double light fixture is also gone!

This is a new addition; milk glass punch bowl on a pedestal and cups.

The blingy belt buckle has been snatched up.

The end cabinet restyled. I’m loving the black and white look on it.

These adorable number jars are all gone. But the black drink carrier remains.

These next two are some fun hanging cages. The second one is a great, blue, chippy one. These were shot from the ground looking up. I’m height challenged and did not feel like dragging out a step stool.
