Last week I shared my porch and the projects I had completed to go on it for the everyday look. Tonight, I want to show you what I came up with for Christmas.
I added some silver silk poinsettias with pinecones that I found at the Dollar Tree to the white flowers in the old can.
Replaced my little bird under the wire with a snowman. I prefer snow people for my Christmas décor rather than Santa. He fits perfectly here with his silver, white and gold.
I also added a few glittered pinecones to the tray with my Burr Oak Acorns.
A couple of stuffed snowmen now reside on my chairs. Burlap and camo-how appropriately Texan.
Gave my white rooster a passenger. I love that little snowman. He came from Cracker Barrel a few years ago on one of our trips from California to Texas.
Cowboy snowman enjoying his hot cocoa.
Now, this is my absolute favorite part. Every porch deserves one of these.
I took my old ladder and with the help of my friend Tracie, we wrapped it in lights and added some funky, rusty ornaments to it.
A watering can full of “gifts” for some more fun.
I used the painted star from my mantle as a topper. And as a nod to one of the more traditional Christmas colors, I added a touch of red to the top. (Actually, Tracie insisted it needed some color. So, it was either the red faucet knob or she was going to festoon my porch with bows under the cover of darkness!) And I am so not a bow person.
There you have it.
